Description

When a Mountain Lion Trailman finishes the requirements for a Branch he earns a Branch Pin, which gets pinned on the corresponding area on his Branch Patch (Joining Award). A Trailman can earn one pin on each Branch, for a total of seven, as a Mountain Lion.

Piercing the Branch Patch with a Branch Pin can be difficult, as there are multiple layers of threading at the point of insertion. We recommend it be done by an adult, using an awl or heavy needle to pre-pierce the hole.

Broken backing

At least one of the ten backings was broken. I will probably switch all the branches to the military ā€œfrog typeā€ backings that are better than the heavy, long (and breakable) backings that come with these branches. I did not want to open all the individually wrapped branches, just to verify if anymore backings are broken.

The pins are over priced at $3.50 per pin, I also am disappointed at not being able to buy 25 pins at a lower price. The cost of $24.50 for 7 small pins which represent completing all 7 branches does is not reasonable.

All branches are too small and hard to keep up. Needs to be an inset on a larger oval pin.
