The Fireguard Card is a special lanyard card that Mountain Lion Trailman will earn once they have learned and can demonstrate fire management and fire safety skills. By earning this card the Trailman has earned the privilege and now holds the responsibility of being able to start, maintain, and properly extinguish patrol or Troop campfires.
This card is to be carried by the Trailman in their lanyard sleeve or somewhere easily accessible. This set contains 9 cards.

The description does not mention that there are 9 cards attached together To make a card purchase, so I only needed 6 cards not 54.

This gives the boys a way to present specialized training completion on demand to leadership instead of having to hunt down a parent or try and find a specific trail guide. These cards streamline the process when it comes to what they’re qualified to do or an opportunity to learn from others and possibly even gain the qualifications themselves. it’s also a way to motivate the boys who lack the qualifications by creating some fun demonstration and saying something like “Where are my fireguards?” then the boys who have yet to get the fireguard qualification have to observe while those that have earned it present to the troop a demonstration of those skills.
