I like the style of hat…. but this one is a hot one for summer trips…. there is no way for the heat to escape. The material around and on top of the hat are heavy and hold in the heat – a mesh or lighter material to let the heat out would be great. I like the bill all the way around as well as snapped up. A little more starch in the bill might give it some shape that it will hold or a more rigid material to press it into a shaped brim. Addition of an elextic draw string around the insider of the brim might allow the remove of the stampede strap. Overall – I like it..

As a proud dad-stache bearer, it’s fun to feel like the real-life Nigel Thornberry! This hat will help you stand out, especially as a leader. However — it can be a little hot, as there is no mesh for ventilation. The hat itself is a bit frumpy, and it took a while for it to mold to my head. The in-seam is sloppy, so it constantly folds over and sticks out around your forehead. (I ought to get my wife to sew it down better.) If you’re in it for the adventure and want to stand out, pick this shady sombrero over that boring ball cap! Have fun!

It was way too small to start with. I put both fists in the band and pulled to stretch it out and it fits perfectly now. I like the hat, but I think it should be offered in more than one size.
