As part of Trail Life USA’s commitment to be volunteer led, each year the Charter Organization Representatives (CORs) vote to determine Board Members.  The elections were held last month and Hezekiah Barge, Jr. was elected to a three year term.

Hezekiah has over three years of experience in Trail Life USA, serving as the Troopmaster of VA-0110 and as a Point Man. As a Lifetime Charter member, he is committed to seeing TLUSA continue its forward momentum as the premier national Christ-centered, boy-focused leadership and character development organization for young men.

Hezekiah has served in numerous leadership positions in local churches, youth sport teams, and national Christian ministries. Having served the nation for 30 years as an enlisted man and infantry officer in the US Marines, Hez has seen tours of duty in Iraq, Kosovo, Africa, and Afghanistan. He presently serves as Chief, Future Operations at Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command in Maryland.  He is the recipient of numerous military honors, including the Bronze Star, Military Volunteer Service Medal, and the United States Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

Hezekiah met his wife, Dawn Marie, while in college and they have been married for almost 28 years. They have 2 daughters, 3 sons (1 BSA Eagle Scout and 2 TLUSA Freedom Rangemen), and 2 grandsons. As a family, the Barges enjoy almost any activity outdoors. Hezekiah holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from Florida A&M University, a National Security Policy Studies Certificate from the USAF Air Command and Staff College, and a MS in Information Systems Technology from the Naval Postgraduate School.

We are excited to have Hezekiah join the board and are pleased to announce that as part of the election, Pat Garibay and Stuart Michelson were selected to serve an additional term.
